
The Western Wisconsin Photography Club. is a non-incorporated association of photographers from communities in Wisconsin and Minnesota including Hudson, Somerset, River Falls, New Richmond, Roberts, Afton, Stillwater, and Woodbury.





The Western Wisconsin Photography Club is a group of photography enthusiasts from Western Wisconsin and the Twin Cities. We are a member of the Twin Cities Area Council of Camera Clubs.
The camera club meets at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month at the Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisconsin for photo sharing, critique and judging. The club also meets for tutorials or presentation of a photo assignment on the third Wednesday of the month, except for June, July and August. Our meetings are both social and educational.
Photographers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join our camera club or to just visit for an evening. Our members include beginner photographers using their first point-and-shoot cameras to advanced amateurs and aspiring professionals using digital SLRs.

Some of the best images are simple. A simple image can have impact and appeal, but it takes thinking and planning. Avoid busy backgrounds that distract from the image. Avoid objects unrelated to the main subject of the image so that the main subject remains the clear focal point.
